About Cyril I Labega, DMD

Dr. Cyril Labega, a Native of Aruba, graduated from the Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston MA, 1992. After having worked briefly as a General Dentist in Aruba and Curacao, Dr. Labega moved to The Netherlands with his family. There he joined the Royal Netherlands Army, as a Dental Officer with the rank of Major in 1999. Dr. Labega deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2000. There he was stationed at a small outpost near the village of Novi Travnik, where he performed operational dentistry on Royal Netherlands Army troops and NATO troops. In 2001 Dr. Labega was promoted to the rank of Lt.Col and stationed in Germany with his wife and 4 kids. There he was in charge of the Military Dental practice in the Seedorf Royal Netherlands Army base. Dr. Labega deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina a second time in 2002. This time he was stationed at a Royal Netherlands Army base near the village of Bugojno. In 2004 Dr. Labega volunteered for a tour of duty in Iraq, where he was stationed at an RDA outpost near the city of As-Samawah in Central Iraq. Besides treating Royal Netherlands Army troops, Dr. Labega also had the opportunity to treat a small number of US Army soldiers and Blackwater operatives.

After the Dec 2004 Tsunami hit Thailand, Dr. Labega volunteered to travel to Thailand with the Dutch Disaster Victim Identification Team. There he assisted in the identification of Tsunami victims.

During his time in the military Dr. Labega obtained Dutch Airborne wings after having taken part in parachute training. Dr. Labega was honorably discharged from the Royal Netherlands Army on Oct 1st, 2006. On Oct 2nd 2006, he came to the USA with his wife Scarlet and their four kids, and they have been living in South Jersey ever since.

Dr. Labega is currently serving in the US Army Reserve with the 7221st Medical Support Unit and holds the rank of Major.

Dr. Labega has been a Dentists for 27 years, believes in giving quality and painless dental care to all his patients, and is looking forward to practicing at least another 20 years.

Dr. Labega is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and enjoys reading, lifting weights and running.
