Sealants - One of the ways we fight against tooth decay in vulnerable teeth is by using a sealant. We apply a plastic resin to the chewing surfaces of your permanent teeth, bonding into the depressions and grooves of the premolars and molars. The sealant acts as a barrier, protecting enamel from bacteria, plaque and acids.

Root Canals - At Eastern Dental®, we know that there are few dental procedures as scary as root canal therapy. The root canal is actually the soft core, or dental pulp, of the tooth. When there is disease or injury to the tooth's soft core, we have to find out what's wrong and figure out the best way to treat it. Usually, this means we have to remove diseased or damaged pulp, clean the pulp chamber and root canal(s) of the tooth, and then seal it.

Porcelain Crowns - Crowns serve many purposes, including strengthening and improving the appearance of discolored or badly shaped natural teeth, supporting a tooth with a large filling, aiding in attaching a bridge, protecting a weak tooth from breaking or restoring one that's already broken and covering a dental implant.

Bridgework/Prosthetics - A bridge is a partial denture used to replace missing teeth. We literally bridge the gap between the missing teeth with artificial ones. We can make your bridge out of gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these. A removable bridge can be taken out any time. A fixed bridge can only be removed by a dentist.

Custom Mouth Guards - Mouth guards are devices that fit over the teeth to prevent injury to the teeth, mouth or lips. They are frequently used for athletes in a variety of sports, but mouth guards can also be used to prevent tooth grinding or treat temporomandibular disorders.

Anti-Snoring Treatment - We can fabricate a dental appliance to treat most cases of sleep apnea. Prior to making an appointment, speak to our office manager to learn what you need to bring in for your consultation. Our treatment is a non-surgical way of correcting sleep apnea and has a higher compliance rate than the use of CPAP.

Orthodontics - Today's braces and retainers are a big improvement over those in the past: less painful, more choices, and if you want, nearly invisible. Fact is, with all the colored band choices kids have these days – some even love having braces! They're simply a necessity for anyone with protruding, crowded or misaligned/ irregularly spaced teeth. Most Eastern Dental® offices have an orthodontist on staff for your convenience. We also offer Invisalign.

Periodontics - Periodontists specialize in treating and preventing gum and tissue diseases. Our periodontists use deep cleaning to prevent gum disease, TMJ, facial pain and headaches. ("TMJ" stands for the temporomandibular joint, or the hinge between the base of the skull and the lower jaw, which can often be the source of pain.) Every Eastern Dental® office has a periodontist on staff for your convenience.

Cosmetic Services
Whitening or Bleaching - More people than ever are asking us about whitening or bleaching teeth these days, and then getting it done. It's a simple process. A bleaching agent is applied to teeth to brighten discolored or stained teeth. At Eastern Dental®, we use several kinds of bleaching products for the in-office portion of the treatment. We may also give you a kit to take home for you to continue the treatment program to help you achieve the whitest, brightest smile possible.

Bonding - In the bonding process, we apply or “bond” tooth-colored materials to the surface of your tooth or teeth to improve the appearance of stained, chipped, broken or cracked teeth, or to minimize gaps between teeth. Bonding is also the process by which we attach a filling or some type of fixed denture to your teeth.

Veneers - Veneers are thin, custom-made shells (laminates) made out of tooth-colored materials that we use to cover the front side of your teeth to correct stained, badly shaped or crooked teeth. We also use veneers when we're constructing crowns. Veneers can be made of porcelain, ceramic or acrylic resin, or composites.
